How safe and durable is modular technology?

For many years, photovoltaic systems have proven their reliability in a great many installations. The first photovoltaic systems were used in space travel back in the 1960s and have proven themselves under extremely harsh conditions.

Photovoltaic systems have been installed for private and commercial users in Germany since around 1990. Experience shows that the service life is around 30 years. However, the module output decreases slightly from year to year. Modern modules are not only significantly more powerful, but also more durable than their predecessors. This is also shown by the long performance and warranty periods of some manufacturers.
